I missed you so badly!! (Part 1)

Hey guys! I know I have been missing for awhile! You must be yelling right now, "Not just awhile!!!" Yea... I know... So, what have I been up to?

2014 marks the end of my university life and I'm ready to embark into a new journey!!.
A photo of me before I got into my review of the year. This photo indicates a rewarding 2014 with the sunshine at the back! Love it!! <3 (Opps... kinda long elaboration~~)

Hmmm... Where should I start off?? Perhaps I shall do it in chronological order.

Or some short preview first!

Friends, family and love one.
(A short and brief preview?)

2014 for me is a year of crossroad! In 2014, I have always stuck myself into thinking of what do I want for my future and what can I do to achieve it? Well, you wouldn't believe the options that have came into my mind. To name a few, insurance agent, direct selling, simply start-up a business, work and travel, social entrepreneur or even further my studies.

I read a book few days ago and there is this interesting quote, "If you think you have too many choices, then left yourself with no option!" It feels good that at least I can choose when sometimes other can't. However, this quote strucks me. Bear in mind that, whatever choices made, it should be the only choices available. This is because it left no choices for us that we can't only work all out for the choice made.

Oh well... I would say until now, I still have no idea what to do!! But at last, I have decided to join the LEAD Project by Mah Sing Group as a management trainee. My one and only choice!! This is their first time doing this project and we are the lucky pioneer group, so we do not know how does the program actually run but I'm looking forward to join them! The send us the program agenda and I strongly believe that the gaining from this program is gonna be useful for us. This is also an opportunity for me to remold myself by stepping out from the comfort zone and join a brand new environment with none of them knowing my past.

Mah Sing Group

With the completion of my internship on December 6, 2014, I am officially graduated from University of Malaya although my convocation will only be held in OCTOBER 2015! (Mark down your calender and hope to see you there~~~) I had my internship on Premier Property Sdn. Bhd. as an Real estate Negotiator cum Sales and Marketing Support Intern! (What a long title I had.) It was an interesting experience for being able to explore a brand new industry. Credit to Prof. Gauth Jasmon who introduced me to Mr. Kee.

My Cure and Lovely Colleagues

Not to forget, the people where we work together for the society!! Thanks for all the planning and cooperation given. Without any of you, the picture will not be perfect! THANK YOU! =)

Late-Evening Jog

Phew... Just came back from a late-evening jog! ><

I jogged from 7th college to varsity late. Then make a turn and passed by DTC and Faculty of Science (a place that he always dropped by huh?).

I never thought that jogging at night would be that scary, wanted to ask a few friends to join but most of them were not back yet or was having meeting just now. When I was at the park (I don't what does it call) with those exercising facilities, I stopped by there and started to play with those exercising facilities. After 10 minutes, there was this guy who waited at the other side. This threaten me and I walked faster. I was relieve when he wasn't following. Pheww once again.

It was just a small round but I was so happy that I sweated! I shall jog more often. Before that, I need to get myself a new pair sports shoe.

Need to back to LECTURE + TUTORIAL life again after skipping class for the one whole week (with permission) and the 3 days holiday.

P/s: My xiao xiong said I looks more energetic and not that tired. Most importantly, she can see the souls in my eyes. lol XD (I guess it's because of the long holiday or hmm... something else?? xP)

Malaysia's Economics Future Dialogue

I went to an audition for the Malaysia's Economics Future Dialogue during the Investor Day. The Investor Day is on 26th October 2013 and too bad that PEKUMA will be having our Follow Me Trip on the same day as well. For those who do not have anything on that day, do make yourself present for the Investor Day, I think it's something worth attending and it's FREE ADMISSION.

Back to the audition. The audition was suppose to be held on the last Saturday but due to GSY & GES, I couldn't make it on that day. So, the topic that I presented on is:

“What are the main obstacles that will prevent Malaysia from achieving her goal of becoming a developed economy by 2020?”

There were 3 panel of judges and 2 of them actually evaluated us through a conference call.

But seriously, I never know it was something that BIG until I saw the advertisement on RapidKL Bus on Monday. To be honest, I don't think I could get it as I didn't really put in all my effort in it. In contrast, I think my senior, Siew Bee should get it because she is really passionate in all these academical events and research thingy. She worked on this topic for 4 days and came out with a research paper on this topic. I admit that she is really well prepared as compared to me.

All the best for her in getting selected as one of the students for the Malaysia's Economics Future Dialogue.

Fighting~~

Great Start Ahead

After 3 weeks of comprehensive and concentrated planning, here we are! From the MHS slot to the i-Week and finally the interview session for the project committee. To be honest, I was kinda demotivated at first and lack of confidence towards the future path of PEKUMA but now, my PROTON (not the car please) is back!! I'm now fueled and ready to bring PEKUMA to a higher level.

All we need is YOU to be part of us!

ARE YOU READY TO BE WITH US??

PEKUMA 1314 fighting!

We have spent 2 days 1 night at GENTING HIGHLANDS. I was quite worry at first. The attendance rate isn't as what we expected. It ended up that only 11 executive members manage to make it for our planning camp. However, that does not bring us down. =D

The trip start off with the simple ice breaking game. Introduction of yourself with additional adjectives in front of the name. We have got juicy Justina and many other funny names. It continued with the formal part and running man game in the midnight.  =D

It was a fruitful trip, we have finally come out with our timeline of activities for 2 semesters.  Wanna know what excitong activities that we gonna brinh to you? Stay tuned for more updates on PEKUMA.

Stay Tuned for More~~

Last few days of holiday and I am working on the presentation for PEKUMA Slot on tomorrow. Although it's just a 15 minutes slot but I hope that it could create an impact in the juniors' life and manage to 'brainwash' them to join PEKUMA, hopefully.

When I was working on the presentation, I googled for PEKUMA and I found a few interesting blogs of my seniors. I can fully understand their feeling when I read their posts. The dilemma and the expectations.

Look forward to meeting you guys (my lovely juniors) tomorrow. See you~~

Welcome to the Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA) and PEKUMA!! ><

4 papers continuously in 3 days?? That's crazy and tiring. It don't even allow me to have any moment to complaint on how badly I did in each paper.

Lesson of the week:

11 Weeks = 1 Year?

Oh well, it is another long period. Absolute 7 months. =P In almost all my post especially the one that within these 2 years, I ended my post or mention in the post that I should update my blog more often. However, I'm always fail in doing so. =P I almost forgotten the existence of this blog until one of my friends mentioned about it. XP

I am back again after 7 months!! What happen to me recently?? To be honest, after 11 weeks of my forth semester in UM, this is the busiest semester that I ever had. I wanted to post what have I done within this 11 week, but when I open my photo gallery, I was like, "Did all these happen within just 11 weeks?". It is too much if I will have to explain it one by one.

In short, here are the activities that I joined or participated, starting from my semester break until today: (according to chronological order =P)
- 2 weeks preparation camp for Quan Zhong Hua
- Malaysian Business Students Summit (MBSS)
- 12th Young Economists Convention: Malaysia Regional Convention
- Quan Zhong Hua Final Station
- FYI's Seminar: How to invest like an idiot and trade like a pro?
- YLA Information Session
- FEA Night Workshop + Bonding Trip
- Hong Leong Foundation Scholars Camp
- Bioelements Workshop
- Focuz-GenY Workshop
- Citrawarna Za'ba
- FEA Night 2013
- CC Reunion Dinner
- AppointmentssSS
- Photography SessionssSS
- Interview SessionssSS
 - MeetingsssSSssSSS

Woah~~ How did I go through all these??

Among all these activities, the one that I would like to share the most is
FEA NIGHT 2013

We had our late dinner on 13th May 2013. On that night, I can feel the emptiness. An event that I have been busy with since the starting of the semester. I stayed at my faculty for more almost 12 hours everyday. Everything has finally come to an end.

From a deputy director and get promoted to the director of the project due to some reason. A project with more than 3 months of preparation ended up with 2 months of preparation due to the changed in the organizing committees. The whole preparation process seems like undergo a lot of obstacles.

FEA Night 2013 is the second project of PEKUMA that I hold the position as the Director. =) From i-Week 2012 to FEA Night 2013, my leadership style was totally different and it taught me a lot. Thinking from a different perspective that affect the unity among members (bonding) and the effectiveness of an instruction. I learnt a lot from the whole preparation process.

I have a lot of things to say but it may end up with a post full with electron with all those complaints. Thus, to make it short and simple, this projects allowed me to deal with all sorts of people and and grow up more. I am a girl who like to think a lot and very particular with every single details. For the whole 11 weeks, whatever happen will struck me into thinking that how can I improve myself and how can it affect others. Even until this moment, it never stop me from thinking back the whole organizing and preparation process and how could I make it better next time. ^^ (it's quite tiring though)

There are few of them I would like to acknowledge:
Thank you, Kevin.
(For leaving to Korea and provide me the opportunity to lead the team and meet with a bunch of cool juniors. Not to forget, my great 'family members' as well.)

Thank you, Shirleyn.
(For understanding me and bear with my seriousness during the meeting.)

Thank you, Wan Loong.
(For helping me to cover some aspects that I missed out.)

Thank you, Haow Ming.
(For always support me and bear with the strictness that I have on you.)

Thank you, Mirosha.
(For always supporting me and pull your friend to join in.)

Thank you, Mun Yee.
(For always send me the letter when I need it.

Thank you...
(Ummi, Balqis, Jofry, Arvin, Justina, Yuk, Yan Chong, Henry, Sanny, Chip, Kar Leng, Hui Fen, Mok, Wuen Chuin, Peggy, Farah, Humairah, Fatimah, Azleen, Hanni, Stephanie, Yalikun, Ambelley, Ammar, Joycelyn, Wern Jun, Nony, Krishula, Bhawani, Navina, Manimala, Pravina, Yi Hong, Sze Mei, Zaid, Saadiah, Shafiqah)
*hopefully I do not miss out anyone*

APK Lecture with Mr. Bernard Hor

Can you believe that I actually didn't update my blog since 2nd February?!?!?! Am I really that busy?? What am I busy for??? Sigh...

Today, we had a mentor for our APK lecture and he is MR. BERNARD!!! He's really AWESOME. I am glad that I took APK this semester. At first when I heard that starting from this semester, we will not be having Entrepreneurship Day as part of our evaluation for continuous assessment, I was sad about it. But after the class on this evening. I AM REALLY GLAD THAT THEY CHANGE THE TEACHING MODULE!!!! And to be honest, this is the first time where I promise myself that I WILL NOT skip any of the APK lecture starting from today. As quoted from Mr. Bernard,

"This 6 weeks are not only going to be between you and me,
but beyond US."

I believe that he has the ability to make changes in our life. As he also mentioned that,

"Be entrepreneurial doesn't mean that you need to be entrepreneur."

Meaning that we should have the thinking of an entrepreneurial even we don't plan to be an entrepreneur as even in our working life, it's an important key to lead us to a higher level.

When Mr. Bernard mentioned a statement that stupid confusion is even worst than stupid question. It actually struck me a lot. Malaysian nowadays had always been inculcate that asking question is an abnormal phenomenon. What's wrong of asking question?? A very good example can be illustrated in my Micro class in the morning. We (Wuen Chuin, Shirleyn and me) were having confusion on so of the economics theory and it get worst when we have our own discussion. At last we decided to ask our lecturer, although we ended up asking the same points for a few times but the result is that we are clear and understand the whole concept of it.

Looking forward for his next class. =)

QZH6 (Preparation Camp) [DAY 1]

I had 'soya been and yao char kuay' as my breakfast. Yummy yummy and I am super full now.

Yesterday was the first day for the preparation camp of QZH6, I reached 'Taman Paramount' station at 11.20am and I was the first one who reach. =D I can reach even earlier but I overlook the message that Zhong Zhong sent to me and I sat until 'Kelana Jaya' station but luckily I haven't get down from the train yet...

We did nothing much for the whole day actually. Chit chat, eat, rest, play cards... We even watched 'Source Code' at night. The movie is not bad. Worth watching. =) For the whole night, I was busy with my camera memory card recovery. And finally I am done with it at 1.15am. =D =D =D The credit goes to Tuan Seng and Chin Loong. ^^

That's basically what I did for the first day staying here. Have to start working now. Bye~~

1st Semester

Activities, study, exams then HOLIDAY! I am now having my semester break since 13th Jan 2012 as my last paper ended at 12th Jan 2012. I had end my FIRST SEMESTER. Lets's recall what have I done in the first semester. Basically, in the first semester, I was only busy with FEA Night, 7th CC Taletn's Night (only 1 week preparation time) as most of the activities will be held in second semester. Thus, the preparation is not that rush. For instance, Citrawana Za'ba (CZ), National Varsity Guidance (NVG), Quan Zhong Hua 6 (QZH6), Malam Kebudayaan Cina (MKC) and Festival Seni (FESENI). However, MKC is an exceptional case as this is one of the major events for 7th CC and the preparation time is limited. Thus, 2 weeks before my study week, I was really busy for it.

In conclusion, what is my first semester all about??

FEA Night 2011

New Year Countdown

Hong Leong Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony

Kolam Tradition in KK7

B314 LL

What is my proudest achievement for the first semester????
I scored 4 flat for my first semester!!!! [The results for TITAS is not release yet, hopefully it's an A!!]
It's still very unbelievable and .... That kind of feelings are really hard to be describe in words.  ><

I will be back to UM on tomorrow night (later) as I will have to attend a preparation camp for QZH6. The preparation starts from 1st Feb until 13th Feb at Kelana Jaya. But I will not be able to join until the end. I will have to be back to UM again to join the practice for 24th Season Drum (for MKC) and Tarian Melayu (for FESENI) and also for the preparation of MKC. Before the semester starts I have already been occupy by all these activities. Can you imagine how my life will be in the second semester? Pray for me... =P

UNI!!!!

If you do stalk my facebook, you would have know that which university I get.
Yet, I still want to repeat it again!
I'm now in
!!!!
Ya, you're right! We can go out anytime if I don't have any work on.

I just undergo UM orientation week (MHSUM - Minggu Haluansiswa Universiti Malaya). It wasn't as scary as what I heard. However, it was AWESOME!!! It's undeniably that the talk was boring and I do 'fishing' during the talk but I do had lots of fun and enjoy it.

"How is UM?"
How are you in UM?"
"How is your uni life?"

These are the few questions that I have been answering for this week.
Ok, well. UM is AWESOME. I am so proud to say that I'm a UM student. According to QS World University Ranking, UM is ranked at 167th place worldwide. The only Malaysia Institution that has made it to the top 200 of the QS World University Rankings 2011/2012

I don't really know how would my life be as this is a whole new chapter of my life. I'm so ready to explore more about it! ^^

Before I end the post, here are some of the pictures of my hostel room. I will try to get the picture of orientation week from Napoleon, my senior in KK7.

The double-decker bed

The single bed

And lastly, our study table
Will update more about my recent life, when I am free.
Stay tuned. ^^
